Originally founded by The Walt Disney Company in the mid-1990s, the planned community called Celebration was formed from small historic American cities with civic buildings designed by world-famous architects such as Robert A.M. Stern.
Today, Celebration is a charming little town with tree-lined streets, captivating architecture and a welcoming mix of shops and restaurants. In fact, Celebration has been named one of the 10 most beautiful cities in America. The picturesque center of the city is compact and quiet. The community has a diverse and interesting mix of housing, from large properties to communities, all situated in pedestrian friendly streets.
Visitors can learn a lot about Celebration by taking a self-guided walking tour, a carriage ride, a Segway ride or renting bikes for scenic hikes.
Celebration is also home to many annual events, such as Now Snowing during Vacation and Oktoberfest, which celebrates the beginning of fall. Be sure to check out the weekly Farmers Market every Sunday and the monthly art and wine tours.
